The majority of what is written within this board are things that I would consider important. I would highly recommend reading what's in here. Much of the questions you may have can be answered in here, but if they aren't, feel free to ask a staff member.

Every time there is something going to happen (either around the site out of character, or around the school in character) you can count on The Daily Prophet to keep you up to date. Be sure to check in every now and then to keep up with the news.

I bet you're wondering what's behind this board. Well, I guess it's too bad you'll never find out. Unless you're staff, that is. It's nothing too exciting, anyways. All that's happening is talking about different matters that need to be taken care of. Things like W.O.T.M., setting up school clubs, and all that good stuff.

| Sorting Cenremony
This is where you come after reading the rules of the forum. The reason I say after reading the rules, because without reading the rules you won't be able to get in here. It's password protected. >:D It's easy enough to begin making your character. All you have to do is copy and paste the character creation form and fill 'er out.

| Post Sorting (6 sub-boards)
After a character application has been created and the character has been sorted, the thread will be moved somewhere in this board. Where the thread is located will correspond with which house the character has been sorted into, unless of course it's a professor which it will be moved into the other board. Also, if your application fails to meet requirements, it will be moved into the pending board so it may undergo revisions.

Everything else that your character will need in order to function around Hogwarts can be found here. Weather you need to make friends, send a birthday card, or even claim a celebrity to model your character's appearence - it all can be done here.

| Seventh Floor (3 sub-boards)
If your legs aren't broken and you can still breathe, congratulations on making it to the stop floor of Hogwarts. The corridors are wallpapered with portraits, and among them is one rather fat lady in a monstrous pink dress. She does look familiar, don't you think?

| Sixth Floor (3 sub-boards)
Although it is nearly deadly having to climb and be whipped around by all those mischievous stair cases just to get to class. Yep, you will find this floor is totally boring unless you enjoy class.

| Fifth Floor (3 sub-boards)
This floor is borderline boring. If you're just looking for a place to practice some spells, you'll find a rather nice corridor that you could use. Just practice of the portraits, I'm sure no one will hear them shouting from all the way up here.

| Fourth Floor (3 sub-boards)
This floor is usually empty unless classes are over, in which case it is often crowded. Students come to the library for leisure reading or more likely study groups and a quiet place to do homework. It also seems like a good place to find a Ravenclaw and they're almost always will to lend some help with assignments.

| Third Floor (3 sub-boards)
This floor is fairly similar to all the other floors. The staircases swing around every now and then, and the portraits will yell out at you if they find you sneaking about at night. The only main difference between this floor and all the rest is that there is much more Hufflepuffs on this floor than any other.

| Second Floor (3 sub-boards)
Although the second floor isn't home to any classrooms, it still is a rather high traffic floor. A bunch of teenage students equipped with magic wands often is cause for accidents and trips to the hospital wing. Also, students need to pass through this floor to get to classes.

| Ground Floor (4 sub-boards)
The ground floor is beautifully decorated. When you arrive at Hogwarts, the ground floor is the first you will see of the school. Scattered around the halls and corridors of the first floor are ornate statues and gargoyles, and often times when students aren't in class they can be found somewhere on the ground floor unless it's nice out and they're outside.

| Dungeons (4 sub-boards)
These dungeons are so dark and gloomy, even spiders are a rare sight down here - well, not really. But this is said to be one the most frightening place in all of Hogwarts. But that doesn't mean your won't find students filling in the corridors either headed to class or breaking some rules under cover of the darkness.

| Grounds |
| Courtyard (3 sub-boards)
Around the front of the school, there is a courtyard. It is a large square with a few trees and benches around it. When it's nice out, students come here, it's much less busy than the Great Hall and it's a good place to get some of that homework done that you've been procrastinating.

| Lawns (6 sub-boards)
Green grass rolls across the3 grounds of Hogwarts. Once the winter is over, you will see that the lawns grow increasingly busy with students who have been waiting for the past few months to get outside, get some sun, and stretch their legs.

| Greenhouses and Gardens (3 sub-boards)
The wizarding world is home to various types of plants which the muggle world could hardly even imagine. You better consult the Herbology professor before you go picking flowers, you wouldn't want to grab home of a Mandrake by accident.

| Edges of the Grounds (2 sub-boards)
Around the outskirts of the grounds are some strange things. There is a forest which is forbidden to all students who wish to keep their lives, and a huge lake which is home to a giant squid. Well, I guess that's not so strange to those in the wizarding world.

| Hogsmeade Village (4 sub-boards)
This is a small town just outside of Hogwarts. Often, students will come here on field trips to shop in the many assortments of stores for many different things, or, they can go to one of the many pubs to relax with their friends while drinking a butter beer.

| Diagon Alley (9 sub-boards)
Here, in Diagon Alley, you will be able to find anything and everything for doing your magic at Hogwarts. You'll also be able to find school robes, a pet, any really, like said before, anything and everything. All you need to know is where to look. (This is a role playing board, if you wish to actually purchase items, go to the shop by pressing the shop button on the top menu bar, easy enough)

| Knockturn Alley (3 sub-boards)
Around the outskirts of Diagon Alley is another alley somewhat like it, however, the stores and people who shop there are slightly more... evil? If you're into keep a good reputation, you best not be caught wandering around the streets of Knockturn Alley.

| King's Cross
All aboard the Hogwarts Express! Every year, enter platform 9¾ at the King's Cross train station by running through the wall between platforms 9 and 10. This is the train that will take you to Hogwarts at the start of every school year and the train that will bring you home at the start of every summer vacation.
